Overview
ECDA’s WhatsApp intensive training is a one day intensive program designed to equip participants with everything they need to effectively integrate WhatsApp organizing into their existing digital programs.
Participants will learn how to write messages that people want to share, optimize share ask flows, how to keep your supporters organized in groups that stay active, and how to use simple automation to reach more supporters.
Who is this training for
This training is designed for progressive practitioners who want to build a WhatsApp organizing program or enhance an existing one. While some experience using direct messaging for organizing is essential, prior experience with WhatsApp specifically is not required. Participants should also be part of an organization that has at some capacity to implement the learnings of this course (such as access to contact lists, permission to run a WhatsApp program, and/or staff resources to manage a program), to ensure the skills gained can be effectively applied.
Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance; all candidates are evaluated against the above criteria, and the trainers make the final selection of participants.

Trainer
Lorenzo Azzolini - WhatsApp expert
Lorenzo is an organizer and digital strategist. He co-founded Genova che osa (Genoa That Dares), where for eight years he built its digital infrastructure and led major campaigns. Under his leadership, the group mobilized hundreds of thousands to stop speculative developments, challenge corruption, and win electoral change. He also managed large-scale WhatsApp programs connecting thousands of activists to support progressive candidates.

10:00-14:00 CET
This is a one day online training. Participants will attend a 4 hour workshop and will have a small task to complete in the afternoon. It is recommended that participants do not have heavy work requirements on the day of the training.
Cost
Cost for participation is €150.00 per person (VAT not included). An invoice will be sent upon registration and payment must be made before the first session takes place.
