The conservative movement is a global force. Its members, while often proclaiming themselves nationalists, work together to achieve their ideological goals. From anti-immigration movements in the United States and Europe, to anti-trans bigotry, to laws against abortion and the erosion of democratic institutions. Conservatives might want strict borders around their countries, but they have successfully dismantled those borders within their movement.

When speaking at events in Europe, I often talk about how my work is motivated by a desire to see a transnational progressive movement thinking in the same fashion. We are not alone. The fights we face in each of our individual countries are often similar to the ones our allies face across continents and oceans.

Along with the European Center for Digital Action (ECDA), I have had the privilege of working with some of the best political strategists and service firms around the world. Earlier this summer we began conversations about forming a similar alliance. Not as a single business, but as a global network of practitioners who are all motivated to fight the rise of rightwing authoritarianism. From this idea, WPC was born.

Our goal is simple. Whether progressives are involved in political campaigns, legislative fights, or movement building, they should have access to the latest tools, expertise and strategies. This includes best in class online tools such as CRMs and fundraising platforms, and services such as advertising purchasing. Our network also comprises strategists who have been behind some of the most important progressive victories of the past decade.

Beyond having the right tools, having the knowledge to maximize their impact is just as critical. Members of WPC have worked on elections in more than four dozen countries, gathering knowledge of the tactics and strategies that work and – equally important – those that don’t. With confidence, we can say that no group of practitioners around the world has access to as much immediate knowledge on the intricacies of campaigns.

WPC is not an agency. Some of our members are firms and commercial enterprises (committed to work exclusively with progressive candidates and causes) and some, like ECDA, are nonprofits or social enterprises. WPC’s number one priority is not commercial, but instead to help the clients of our members win – through deploying the best possible resources where and when they’re needed.

Progressives, most recently in the United States, have suffered a string of losses which will have serious consequences for hundreds of millions of people. We need to fight back and win, and the best way to do that is together. The question is how we can help you win.
