TikTok
Welcome

Overview

TikTok is essential campaign infrastructure. Progressives must invest in the platform in order to reach people, bring them in and convince them of a better future. That is why ECDA has developed a three-day ‘TikTok Intensive’ training. This online program is designed to equip participants with the strategies and skills needed to grow their account/s, produce consistent and engaging content, and convert their audiences into active supporters.

The program is designed for political parties and focuses on political accounts. Participants can be staff, elected officials, or candidates who are responsible for managing accounts and/or content production. Participants must already have experience with TikTok and manage active accounts.

Registration

We have 15 places available for this course which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance; all candidates are evaluated against the above criteria, and the trainers make the final selection of participants.

Applications close on Tuesday, 6th October at 23:00 or when places are exhausted.

What you will learn

Participants will leave this training with inspiration, strategies and new skills to develop their TikTok accounts, build trust with their audiences and ultimately drive those audiences to further and deeper engagement (outside of the platform).

Modules:

  • Understand why TikTok matters, how the algorithm works and what formats perform best with political accounts.

  • Rapid response: How to react and when to react (and when not to).

  • How to craft political messages for short-form video that engage and persuade.

  • Understand content and growth strategies for TikTok, evaluate your current account performance and map out a strategy to go forward.

  • Backstage know-how: Planning, scripting, filming and post-production.

  • The darkside: Research and analysis of far-right TikTok accounts, strategy and formats.
