Overview
TikTok is now a ’public square’ where narratives are formed, challenged and spread. TikTok allows progressives to reach new audiences, test different messages, and mobilize communities quickly. That is why ECDA has developed ‘CapCut for Tiktok’, a 2.5 hour online training session, designed to help progressives boost their editing skills in CapCut. CapCut is the native TikTok video editing tool used for effective and fast post-production of content. Specifically for progressives who are working with existing content and transforming it into platform-native content.
In this training, participants will learn how to create effective formats for short-form video tailored for political and campaign content. Participants will learn best practices for CapCut post-production from start to finish using raw content via live demonstrations and practical activities with live troubleshooting.
Participants will master fast, repeatable CapCut workflow to transform existing content such as speeches or interviews into engaging short-form videos. They will leave with the practical skills needed to unlock the value of the content already sitting on their hard drive.
Who is this training for
This training is tailored for progressive practitioners currently working in political parties, NGOs, or Trade Unions. No technical video editing background is necessary but it is designed for those who currently manage TikTok accounts and have a foundational knowledge of CapCut. The session will help participants further build their technical skills and improve their editing workflows.
For the best experience, participants should have CapCut with a Pro license installed on desktop.
