Overview
ECDA’s WhatsApp intensive training is a one day intensive program designed to equip participants with everything they need to build, grow and manage a WhatsApp organizing program.
Participants will learn how to design and implement both horizontal and vertical programs on WhatsApp, from setting up groups, channels, cascades, and communities from scratch to scaling them effectively. The training will cover proven strategies and best practices for engagement and mobilization, including tools, tips, and tricks for organic sharing. Participants will also explore how to convert WhatsApp audiences into email lists, as well as how to build and use basic chatbots and automations to streamline communication.
Who is this training for
This training is designed for progressive practitioners who want to build a WhatsApp organizing program or enhance an existing one. While some experience using direct messaging for organizing is essential, prior experience with WhatsApp specifically is not required. Participants should also be part of an organization that has at some capacity to implement a messaging program (such as access to contact lists, permission to run a WhatsApp program, and/or staff resources to manage a program), to ensure the skills gained can be effectively applied.

Lorenzo Azzolini - WhatsApp expert
Lorenzo is an organizer and digital strategist. He co-founded Genova che osa (Genoa That Dares), where for eight years he built its digital infrastructure and led major campaigns. Under his leadership, the group mobilized hundreds of thousands to stop speculative developments, challenge corruption, and win electoral change. He also managed large-scale WhatsApp programs connecting thousands of activists to support progressive candidates.

This is a one day training. Each day participants will attend a 4 hour workshop and will have a small task to complete in the afternoon. It is recommended that participants do not have heavy work requirements on the day of the training.
Cost
Cost for participation is €150.00 per person (VAT not included). An invoice will be sent upon registration and payment must be made before the first session takes place.
